Sprint of 2020
This event is a triennial event. It will return every three years. The next time this event will be run is in the spring of 2020. Check your email, our facebook page and return here later for registration details.
The Utah Lake Olympic at Lincoln Beach! RaceTri hosted the Utah half at this location and we agreed with the athletes that this venue would make for a perfect Olympic distance event. No need to worry about any other racers doing different distances, this will be an OLYMPIC ONLY EVENT!
SWIM 1500 M, BIKE 28 Miles, RUN 10K
The race is located at the south end of Utah Lake accessed by taking the Spanish Fork exit and going to 4700 Lincoln Beach Rd, Spanish Fork, UT 84660.
SWIM 1500 Meters
Swim down a long narrow channel. If you are nervous about open water swimming you will feel the comforted knowing that you are never too far from shore. Athletes last year mentioned that the swim seemed to go by very fast for them as they exit the channel and circle around a small triangle out in the bay and return to the channel for the home stretch. The early season open water will also have temperatures in the 60s and there should be no worry about Utah Lake algae blooms that come later in the year due to rising temperatures. Wetsuits are strongly recommended for this early season swim.
Bike 28 Miles
One of the best bike rides around. You will love this point to point circumnavigation of West Mountain at the south end of Utah Lake. This ride is flat and fast with long straightaways, and beautiful mountain & lake vistas. Only a few turns on the whole course, prime conditions to really lay it down and see what you are made of. All your winter spinning will pay off on this bike!
Save some of those legs for your PR on this flat out and back course. Run by the West Mountain Orchards, and enjoying the stunning vistas as you power through to the finish. Pass aid stations at mile 1.5, 3.1 and 4.6.
When picking up your packet you must have your PHOTO ID and USAT card. Registered Athletes will receive Packet Pickup dates and details in an email approximately a week before the race.
