Adult Race 8 a.m. Kids Race 9 a.m.Packet pickup will be Saturday morning starting at 6 a.m. at the AF Fitness Center in the Northeast corner room. The Transition Area will open Saturday morning at 6 a.m. and will be a first come first serve basis.
The adult race will start at 8:00 a.m. with a pre-race meeting at 7:30 a.m. in the transition area. Please be prompt.
The AF Fitness Center has had problems in the past with too many people using the bathroom facilities. The water pressure eventually gets low enough that the toilets won’t flush. To eleviate this problem we will have portable toilets available. We encourage athletes to use these.
We will have a table for eye glasses just inside the bubble. Please use this only for that purpose. It will be marked.
We will have a first aid table out in the transition area for any problem that may arise. Feel free to drop by with your bumps, scrapes, and bruises, but keep these to a minimum.
The Icebreaker Triathlon is a great early season race. A 300 meter pool swim is followed by a 12 mile bike and 5K run, and offers both individual and relay team events. Also included is a kid’s race (100 meter pool swim, 5k bike and 1 mile run) to immediately follow the main event.
Age groups will include kids 7-and under, 8-10, 11-12, 13-14 for kids race and adult sprint age groups start at 15-19 and then go in five year increments to 60+.
